If you are for the first time take off an old faucet, holding a bucket underneath the flaps like screwing the hot and cold water supply lines to the faucet if there is water in the lines. Then you have the nuts that hold the faucet in place with a basin wrench to unscrew. Take out of the tap, and the cleaning of the surroundings of the old cranes.
Some modern bathroom sink faucets come with a gasket that new faucet to the sink will seal them, others say you use plumber’s putty. Either places the gasket in place or plumber’s putty on the bottom of the new valve and fastens. Do not be afraid to use a lot of putty if you want it to close all the way around and the extra will simply squeeze out. Tighten the bolts to secure it under the tap and align it, then clean up the extra putty.
